The University has Residence for students consisting of a five floor large building well designed with modern architecture. There are corridors, open spaces and common rooms within each floor. There are separate residences for male and female students. The accommodation for students in these blocks follows all norms and the rooms are aesthetically furnished. Hygiene is an important consideration in these premises. In addition, the campus provides recreational facilities including a gymnasium and other indoor and outdoor games. The surroundings are fully landscaped with lawns, bushes and trees.
OThe University has secured the services of catering and housekeeping facilities; providing essential meals (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner) open to students, faculty and staff. A state-of-the-art kitchen with the best equipment ensures that the wide array of the cuisines can be prepared well. The food is served under hygienic conditions. The food services are made available in the dining hall of the University on self-services basis. Only vegetarian meals are served with the exception of eggs in certain meals.
The university has a permanent health centre with all essential equipment and round the clock assistance available for students. We have 250 beds hospital building in our university campus has separate male and female wards, consultation rooms, physiotherapy treatment rooms, counselling rooms, meditation room and sample collection room. It has a strong team of qualified medical practitioners. A full-time medical residential medical officer and nurses are on duty 24×7. The on-campus pharmacy near the Health Centre is open all days.
The student’s common rooms are located in different blocks of the University residence area. There are indoor sports facilities such as Snooker table, Pool table, Foosball table, Table Tennis table and many other board games. The common rooms are equipped with large state-of-the-art projection screens for playing movies, television shows, presentations, music, etc. There are provisions for arranging small birthday parties with the prior approval of the Warden. The common rooms are manned by one attendant round-the-clock for any assistance needed. The rules and regulations of the common room are filed in a document that is available with the attendant and needs to be adhered to while students are present in the common room.
SMPU has an integrated laundry service provider on the campus. The campus services include washing, drying and pressing. Laundry facility is available to all students residing in the residence area.
A courier service is also available in the campus at actual cost. The Courier Desk is located at the Reception area. The representatives of the DTDC courier agency and India Post would be available to provide the services.
The University has guest house facility. Rooms can be availed by the parents and guests subject to their availability.
The University operates the housekeeping services for the clean and hygienic environment within the MPU Campus. There is a routine cleaning service of the entire Campus.
Punjab National Bank has set up an ATM machine on campus which is situated near main gate of University.
